Normally, validation and commissioning went hand in hand. This was certainly this case for virtually all our pharmaceutical projects, where compliance with the European EMA and American FDA regulations was paramount.
Our commissioning activities not requiring validation were confined to start-up of small plant and equipment, and vendor packages.
